Do you often feel alone, or unsupported? Do you wish you could reach out to other like-minded women to form meaningful relationships? You are not alone there, gorgeous gal.
When I first began my PCOS healing journey, I felt very alone. I didn’t know anyone else with the disease and wasn’t sure how to cope. My friends and family were very supportive but they couldn’t totally understand what I was going through. It was only after I joined in several PCOS forums and chatted with other ladies who had gone through what I was going through did I start to feel better.
I felt more optimistic, and more motivated to stay on track with the lifestyle changes necessary to put my PCOS in remission. The support, compassion and understanding was there for me when I needed it. I 100% credit the support of the groups I participated in with keeping me on track to success.
For those who aren’t familiar, PCOS has a strong mood component. Mood swings, anxiety and depression are familiar states of mind. Without the women who supported me, my healing would have been more struggle than journey, and would have taken a lot more time.
If you are suffering or struggling with mood swings, irritability, depression or anxiety, I urge you to find a group of like-minded women, poised for change! Never underestimate the power of women’s intelligence- together we are invincible!
