Hey there sexy! I’m Robyn, The Hormone Diva and holistic nutritionist.
I’m here to help women with hormonal dysfunction who are living in a state of overwhelm and anxiety to live harmoniously with the rhythms of their bodies. I do this so these women can stand in their power and use self-love as a catalyst for lasting change and Happy Hormones.
Listen, I’ve been through it all.
When I started nutrition school at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, I was on Cloud 9. I changed my diet up big time (who knew vegetarianism wasn’t going to be popular!) and studied hard.
After months of making changes, I knew something wasn’t quite right. I was constantly moody and always hungry- I felt like one crazy ass bitch! I felt like a failure and knew I was missing the boat.
Taking an extremely targeted approach to managing my health was born out of necessity. During my failed attempts to not feel bat shit crazy with natural methods, my partner Kyle told me something he’d been holding back for a long time.
As I was about to drive home one evening, he stopped me and said “I love you but. . .“
“I never know which Robyn I’m with from one moment to the next. Your moods are so unpredictable that you seem bipolar at times.”
After becoming a sobbing and blubbering mess in front of him, I knew that I would do anything to save my relationship, and that meant digging deeper into my health.
Shortly after this during one school lecture, I learned about the negative effects of birth control- which I had been on for 7 years at this time.
I thought maybe this was the cause of my issues!
After stopping the pill, I got worse. Like, 15 pounds weight gain, cystic acne, hair loss and more moody worse. My periods only came every 90 days. A year later, after much heated discussion in doctors’ offices, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, or PCOS.
Through my discovery and hormone-balancing journey, I discovered my passion for helping other hormonally imbalanced women, and The Hormone Diva was born!
I went to work creating programs and private coaching women who had similar stories to mine. I’ve now been able to help women across North America to create Happy Hormones using nutrients, botanicals, movement and self-care.
I taught myself the ins and outs of managing women’s hormones naturally. I studied with some amazing teachers at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Torono, as well as the pelvic expert herself Jessica Drummond. I’m also currently enrolled to study with Aviva Romm in her Herbal Medicine for Women course.
Through my first year of working with hormonally imbalanced women, I created my mission: to help women create Happy Hormones through living harmoniously with the rhythms of their bodies and using self-love as a catalyst for change.
All of this using the same strategies I used on myself (and still do!) to manage my PCOS, feel JOYous instead of bat shit crazy, and save my relationship with Kyle.
I have traveled around to speak, been featured on many podcasts and written tons of guest articles around the web to stand on my soapbox and spread my message that “YES!”- balanced hormones are not only possible, they’re right within your reach.
Nothing makes me happier and excited than to get an email from a client who is sharing her success…whether it’s a pain-free period, loads of energy pulsing through her veings, clear skin or a partner that’s finally on board.
When I’m not helping hormonally imbalanced women, you can often find me with my pet cat, turtle or fish. Other times I’m laughing it up and unapologetically using my potty mouth and having fun with Kyle, or strolling around a market with my mom.
